My Crazy Mother in Law

I’m the kind of guy who likes to tell stories. Ever since I have been married, many of my stories have been about the absolutely ridiculous things that my mother in law has said or done. Many times my co-workers have said ‘You have such good material…You should do amateur night at a comedy club!’. Truth is, that while I am comfortable in front of a crowd, I don’t see myself as a stand-up comedian at all. Telling stories about the latest ramblings of my mother-in-law to my co-workers is one thing, but in front of a crowd of people?

Then one day as I was driving into work, I had a thought. I should post all these funny stories about my mother in law on a website. There has to be a website devoted to Crazy Mother-in-law stories. A quick search found some sites devoted to help with mother-in-law problems, but they were more like a ‘Dear Abbey’ advice site. I wanted a place where people could post all the funny stories about their mother-in-laws. Thus, this site was born.

The one thing is that my mother-in-law is the type that would cry if she ever found out I was making fun of her to others. She can’t even handle it if we poke fun at her during Christmas dinner after the bottle of wine has gone around the table a few times. So, I have changed the names for all the characters in my (and my wife’s) family. See the ‘Cast‘ page for all the characters I talk about.
